How To Build A Business Blog... DAY TWO: What Is A Title Tag And Why Should You Care?

All web content that you write has a title tag; blogs, hubpages, ezine articles, advertising - all of it. Title tags as mentioned in the post before this one is a way to say hello to Google. Now all by itself won't be a big enough hello but it is important in getting Google's attention.

For example, my title tag begins with "Agel." See the blue bar above... "Agel" is a keyword I am going for, right? But it is highly competitive. Google sees a whole lot of blue bar title tags that begin with the word "Agel."

Google "Agel" right now and the results will be in the millions, 2,870,000 to be exact. That's too competitive. But Google "Agel Renegade" and results drop down to 12,700. And right now, this blog is in the top spot of page one! So the first of 12,700 results is me!

So when you name your blog, or article or Squidoo lens, for a while, stay in the 12,000 to 22,000 range of results at Google for your first two words. Later, as you learn more about how to optimize your site, you can go for more competitive keywords.

So, now go build your business blog with a 12,000 to 22,000 Google results title.Then write one post that is at least 500 words. Then publish it.

Don't worry about how junky or short your blog is. Just publish it. No one will see it until you send traffic to it. Once you build it they will come if you "point to it," then you can dress it up a bit.

How To Build An Agel Business Blog - First Things First

Blogging can be free. This entire website is free. I am advertising my Agel MLM business here for free! Who knew! Blogging for business is the new attraction-based business model for the network marketing industry.

It is soooo much easier for find people who are interested in MLM. What do we need to build a downline? Interested people. Not people who couldn't care less about MLM. There is absolutely no need to convince any one. Blogging to build an Agel business will attract people who are already convinced.

A strong downline means a network of "believers" in network marketing, what I call the best business model of all time. MLM is only a little over 50 years old. The world has yet to see the value of MLM but because of the power of the Internet, that is changing, BIG TIME!

It takes a few months to bring in the right traffic to your blog. But believe me, it is well worth the time. Big business takes time, but if you build it, they WILL come!

All you have to do is learn how to attract targeted traffic blogging. We do not need a huge amount of traffic, but we must attract readers who are either interested in Agel or interested in MLM. Any one can learn how to build a blog and bring in the best candidates to build a downline.

First Important Detail

To attract targeted traffic to your business blog, whether it is to build your Agel business or any business, the first important detail is the title.

That may seem to simple but look at the top blue bar above. That is the "title tag." Think of it as a way to get in touch with Google and other search engines saying, "Tag! You're it!"

Marketing Your MLM Business Online: Agel Enterprises

Marketing your MLM business online successfully takes two things: Training, and time. Training: If you learn how to link a web of content together using 2 or 3 words that your prospects are frequently typing into Google, you absolutely can succeed marketing your MLM business online. Time: ...but it takes time. The Write Words: Content on the web is words. You do not have to be a writer to succeed in online marketing but you do have to write words and link specific words to other related web content.

Here's an example of my "write words" concept. What do some of your prospects type into Google? Many, many people are typing in this phrase "get rich quick." That phrase is called a keyword phrase because it is typed into search engines so many times per day that it is staggering. Today, when I typed that phrase into Google, there are 2,690,000 other people who have already typed that in today. In fact, that figure is the average number of people who type that in every day. Now are these the people I want to target with my marketing? Do I want to get their attention to join Agel? Nope. I'd rather go for the people who type in "Renegade Network Marketer" or "Renegade University" or "network marketing professional" or a million other phrases that I believe would attract the type of prospect that would be a better team member than someone who wants to "get rich quick."
