Entering Internet MLM Land?

Are you considering taking a trip into Internet MLM Land? Just so you know - it's a jungle out there so unless you know where you're going and how to get there, you could very easily get lost. My advice? Be sure you have a map, your passport and a guide.

The Internet MLM Map

Internet MLM is not an easy journey. Even though it's a lot more fun than traditional offline MLM, it's not a simple switch. You'd be surprised how many people take the same "journey" online that they took offline, not realizing that it's the same journey. I did and guess where that took me? No where.

Internet MLM is a completely different journey and without a map, you have to find your own way. You can succeed on your own, but it could take years and a lot of wasted money.

There are several roads that can take you into successful Internet MLM Land. Some are shorter than others. Knowing what I know now, I would say the shortest route is video marketing.

Internet MLM Passport

In the map above, your passport is the biggest piece of the big picture. So what is it? Well, for one thing, your passport allows you to travel where you would not otherwise be able to go. Let's say you want to succeed on your journey into internet MLM taking the fast track, racing to your destination really fast. Right now that would mean that you are on the video marketing super-highway.

A passport, by definition, certifies who you are for the purpose of international travel. So your internet MLM passport has to be about you. If you are on the video marketing highway, then your videos are about you. If you're on the article marketing road, same thing. The days of finding enough people at home who want to join you on your journey are long gone. With an internet MLM passport, you actually go global. The internet just automatically gives you access to an international audience but if you don't use it as a passport to certify who you are, very few will follow you.

Your Internet MLM Guide To Success

No matter what road you're on, no matter what map you use, no matter how certifiable your passport is, if you get lost, the trip takes longer. An internet MLM journey involves some pretty tough terrain like getting through courses of search engine optimization (SEO 1.0 and SEO 2.0) plus blogging for business, advertising and sales funnel construction.

Taking that journey with a guide is way more fun than getting through all of that alone. If you have a guide, it's no longer an obstacle course - it's more like a cruise!

Don't struggle so much. Hire an internet MLM guide and have a really nice trip!

I took a little different turn and like promoting generic internet network marketing training products and services to cashflow my MLM. That's easier for me right now. But eventually, promoting health and wellness, beauty and fitness, will be great fun too.

Internet Traffic To Your Squidoo Lens: Here's a Terri-fic Traffic Tip

Here's the marketing 101 equation for your product showcase on Squidoo, for your sales letter, for all strategies of $ucce$$

Visitors X Conversion Rate X Sales Price = Total Revenue

If "Visitors" (traffic) = zero then obviously renvenue = zero

We have to have visitors so how do we get real people to our offer on Squidoo?

I haven't done a lot of search engine optimization (SEO) on my Agel Product Review Lens so the only people seeing it are probably not coming to it through a search term on Google, or Yahoo, or any other search engine.

They are probably referred to it either by me in an email or from Digg (see post below this one) or they are finding it because they are social media friends of mine on Squidoo. Let's see what's going on right about now:

How To Build A Business Blog... DAY TWO: What Is A Title Tag And Why Should You Care?

All web content that you write has a title tag; blogs, hubpages, ezine articles, advertising - all of it. Title tags as mentioned in the post before this one is a way to say hello to Google. Now all by itself won't be a big enough hello but it is important in getting Google's attention.

For example, my title tag begins with "Agel." See the blue bar above... "Agel" is a keyword I am going for, right? But it is highly competitive. Google sees a whole lot of blue bar title tags that begin with the word "Agel."

Google "Agel" right now and the results will be in the millions, 2,870,000 to be exact. That's too competitive. But Google "Agel Renegade" and results drop down to 12,700. And right now, this blog is in the top spot of page one! So the first of 12,700 results is me!

So when you name your blog, or article or Squidoo lens, for a while, stay in the 12,000 to 22,000 range of results at Google for your first two words. Later, as you learn more about how to optimize your site, you can go for more competitive keywords.

So, now go build your business blog with a 12,000 to 22,000 Google results title.Then write one post that is at least 500 words. Then publish it.

Don't worry about how junky or short your blog is. Just publish it. No one will see it until you send traffic to it. Once you build it they will come if you "point to it," then you can dress it up a bit.

Of course I could go on and on about Agel products but when I allow myself to do that, I get carried away with how great they are. If you want to build an Agel business, you absolutely must stop sounding like everything you say is hype (even though it isn't.)

See, that's the thing about the new business model for MLM is to attract customers and business partners to you and the value you have to offer to your downline and customer-base. Giving a sales pitch is aggrevating to people now-a-days. It isn't attractive.

Attraction Marketing

As baby boomers, we remember our mom's welcoming in the Fuller Brush man at the front door. He would come in and stay for maybe 30 minutes to show his wares. And remember the salesman with Britanica encyclopedias. It was so exciting for my whole family when we bought the whole set. The 1950's was such a great time to be a little girl.

This millenium is different. Trust isn't assumed any more. We have to earn it by providing free value first, not pitching anything until we earn trust. Once we prove trustworthy offering value without expecting anything in return, we are then and only then invited in, so-to-speak, to show our wares.

Most people don't get that. Most people still get into a sales pitch right away. Until recently, so did I. I literally would talk to complete strangers about Agel at the grocery store or at Starbucks or just about any place. Now guess who I talk to about Agel? Only people who ask me about it. Without permission or an invite, I just don't do it any more because it doesn't work and it feels unprofessional... because it is unprofessional.

Work At Home Renegade Baby Boomer Women

Working at home, making more "retired" than hired, is exactly what many baby boomer women are doing! I wrote an article about those of us fearless females who have left the corporate world to start our own business at 50 something.

I'll link to it in a minute but here's the thing. So many 50 plus women are in leadership positions building a really great productive and engaged team of staff but not getting to really enjoying the thrill of being truly in charge.

Unless you have a boss that trusts you completely to do your job, autonomy is just not what you get in corporate America. I don't blame corporations for wanting to run their own business. It's just that I finally figured out that I'd rather run mine instead of trying to run a business that isn't mine.

If you are 50 plus and female, I bet you know exactly what I mean. It is a sort of renegade spirit type of thing, that once set free, it is really great, ESPECIALLY if you work at home. I call my Agel business a HOME RUN succcess!

Marketing Merge Professional

What is a Marketing Merge Professional? Well, it's me. I merge Internet Marketing (IM) with Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) and I do that professionally.

Merging these two marketing professions is the new business model for MLM.

The title Marketing Merge Professional has been coined by the owner of Marketing Merge Inc. - Mike Klingler. He is also the creator of Renegade University. That's where I teach others how to be an MLM Renegade :)

A Renegade Network Marketer doesn't build an MLM business in the traditional way. Ann Sieg coined that title in her ebook called The Renegade Network Marketer. It is the textbook for Renegade University.

I know, I know... this doesn't make a lot of sense yet but bare with me. It will.

If you are trying to build an Agel downline the old way, I understand that because it used to work great, so it is still being taught all the time. The old way did work well and it is still working in other parts of the world.

The reason I say that is because of my Nigerian partners. In my Agel downline as of right now, I have over 400 Nigerians and more join every single day! Most of them are joining as executives, the $1000 start up level. But my point is, I wish I could make the old way work even half as well here but it doesn't, at least not for me.

And I have a feeling, if you live here in the US and keep trying to build your downline the way we used to, you will probably drop out soon if you haven't already.

Why doesn't the old way of talking to family, friends and strangers work here anymore? I just don't know. But thanks to the Internet, marketing merge does work.
